Black Hole Gravitational Potential Enhanced Fallback Accretion onto the Nascent Lighter Compact Object: Tentative Evidence in the O3 Run Data of LIGO/Virgo

Abstract In a binary system, the gravitational potential of primary black hole may play an important role in enhancing fallback accretion onto lighter compact object newly formed second supernova explosion. As result, final masses objects would be correlated, as suggested recently by Safarzadeh & Wysocki. this work, we analyze mass distribution four gravitational-wave events, which are characterized both small ratio and low (≤5 M ⊙ ) light component, find tentative evidence for correlation among objects. To evaluate feasibility testing such hypothesis with upcoming observations, carry out simulations mock population perform Bayesian hierarchical inference distribution. We that dozens whether there exists component distributions or not can robustly tested correlation, if it exists, well determined.
